What motivated your organization to adopt e-sourcing software? What were the specific challenges or pain points that led you to seek out this solution?

Response: Mississippi implemented legislation in 2018 requiring all purchases above $75,000 to be bid through reverse auction. With our company already being in the electronic bidding market and handling construction bids, many of our clients were asking us if we handled reverse auctions also. We quickly realized that we should be. Procureport seemed to be the best solution for our needs.

Response: There is only a few of us in our office involved in the reverse auction process. Once we learned the process, we established a user manual for everyone to follow.

Response: No problems with the Procureport implementation. Only challenges from vendors and owners being forced to perform reverse auctions on all purchases above $75,000. They would prefer to bid out as normal or get quotes on their purchases.

What plans do you have for the future of your e-sourcing strategy?

Response: We plan to explore new features and functionality of the e-sourcing software as it evolves and continue to look for opportunities to expand our use of the tool in other departments to drive ongoing improvements and efficiencies.
